It is with great pleasure that I succeed Dominique Triaire, professor of French literature, at the head of the Presses Universitaires de La Méditerranée.

Under his leadership, for twelve years, the PULMs have fully fulfilled their mission of disseminating and promoting research. Thus, each year an average of fifty books are published in paper and/or digital format.

The management of PULM is assisted by a management committee and an editorial committee which ensures the examination of projects and the study of manuscripts; this attention allows PULM to offer publications of a high scientific level.

Due to its competence and experience, the PULM technical and administrative team supports authors as closely as possible in the publication process in order to produce a quality edition and publications produced with the greatest care.

Attentive to developments in scientific publishing and readers' expectations, the PULMs are also developing an ambitious digital and open-access policy by collaborating with the CLEO for the publication of works in digital format, the digitization of old works and the posting of journal issues on the OpenEditions portal.
